we have finally made it to rimini, italy! most of us travelled to other parts of italy (i have visited bologna and rome thus far) before we got here and have seen the most beautiful places and have eaten the most amazing food and wine! it is warm and sunny today which was a contrast to what it was yesterday (rainy and windy). everyone made it class on time (well, it is the first day!) and lisa and steve are already doing an amazing job. luca, of course, is comfortably settled in his beloved home of italy and will be officially the tour guide later this afternoon. i will be leaving the hotel shortly to walk around the piazza to look for places such as laundry, pharmacy, supermarkets and a place to watch the soccer game tonight (italy vs. netherlands). it is going to be quite an experience- to watch the passion of the italian soccer fans, so we better be rooting for them tonight!!! buona giornata!

Ciao a tutti,
unfortunately I could not find out how to post a message. :( Therefore I just leave a comment.
I am glad to hear that you all made it safe to Rimini. I am still in Germany working and preparing the class on culture in conflict resolution next week.
I am looking forward to join you next monday.
Have a great time.

Hey Everyone! It's Michelle... you know, the one stuck in not so sunny San Diego. Wish I could be there with you all to experience the wonders of Italy and of course the beauty of mediation.
If you can, keep blogging. I'll have to live vicariously through all of you for the time being. And don't forget the pictures... LOTS of pictures. Like Irka, I'm having trouble posting a message, but once I figure it out I'm going to talk about the experiences from the first Summer Institute.
Miss you all. Take care and try not to have too much fun without me. Well, okay, at least take pictures and keep blogging about it.
